Hi... I'm Rosanna.

I love to grow my own food and flowers, climb trees and mountains, swim in the lake near my house and spend time with human and animal friends.

And I LOVE music!

I was very lucky to be immersed in music when I was young and studied music at King's College London and recorders at the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, and took masterclasses in Amsterdam, Basel and Karlsruhe.

I worked as Orchestral Librarian to the Royal Northern Sinfonia at the The Glasshouse in Gateshead for a two years after my studies and then slowly started to build my music-sharing career, initially as Flautino Music School, teaching recorders and piano. We moved into our beautiful home at Ushaw Historic House and Gardens in County Durham in April 2022 and Songbird Music Space was born in 2023. We are flourishing here in our beautiful nest!

As well as running Songbird Music Space I teach recorders at Durham and Newcastle Universities and run a fruit, flower and herb growing business called Wild Root Earth Care in the north Pennines, Weardale, County Durham (this will all be in one website soon!).
